Ultra high performance lamps: These lamps contain mercury along with fused quartz. The assembly is completed with an insoluble tungsten compound and also a molybdenum compound. They have power ranging from 100 watts to as much as 200 watts. They last for around 3,000 to 10,000 hours, which is relatively longer as compared to average projector lamps. However, since these lamps boast of great illumination as well as a long life, they also cost more than the other types of projector bulb. They are looked upon as a considerable investment. However, their disadvantage is that they are also known to emit ultraviolet radiation. The LCD projector lamp is also among these.

Xenon bulb: These types of lamps consist of the xenon gas that is known to be a great conductor of electricity when present in a dense state. When electricity is passed through this gas, it illuminates brightly that is as good as natural light. Hence, projectors with xenon bulbs are known to provide excellent picture clarity. They also remain cool for a longer period of time, protecting your projector from problems related to overheating. This makes them the preferred choice for a Replacement Projector bulb.
